Ficus Elastica 'Burgundy', or the Rubber Tree, is known for its dramatic dark green to nearly black leaves with a glossy finish. It grows best in bright, indirect light, though it can tolerate lower light—just with slower growth and less vibrant color. Water when the top 1 to 2 inches of soil feel dry, typically every 1 to 2 weeks, and reduce watering in winter. It prefers moderate humidity and steady indoor temperatures. Indoors, it can grow up to 10 feet tall and 2 to 4 feet wide over time.
